Dallas Branch Sponsor Policy Statement

The Dallas Branch Board has made several decisions regarding its "Sponsor Policy" for meeting sponsorship.

Meeting Sponsorship

The cost to sponsor one of our monthly Dallas Branch Meetings is $300. The benefits includes:

  • Company name prominently displayed on the website, newsletter and meeting announcements.
  • The Sponsor company gets 3 minutes to make a small speech presentation at the branch meeting and gets to distribute marketing material at the branch meeting (no PowerPoint presentation will be allowed).
  • Sponsor company draws the name for two $25 gift certificate winners among those who register and pay online for the branch meeting.
  • Sponsor company gets to post one job ad on one issue of our newsletter/website.

Newsletter/Website Sponsorship

A.   The Sponsorship Rate is $200 for a period of 12 months. The company’s logo will be displayed on the sponsor page on the website at http://www.dallasasce.org/sponsors/ and will be randomly displayed in the sponsor box on the Dallas Branch homepage.

The cost to sponsor both meeting and website is $400. This includes all that is listed above.

B.   Sponsorships may be accepted from Dallas engineering firms and organizations whose primary function is providing civil engineering services or services benefiting civil engineers. Sponsorships may be provided for Dallas construction companies. Sponsorship duration shall coincide with the Branch Board’s duration from October to the end of September of the following year. The Treasurer will mail invoices for the stated duration during October to November of each year. Sponsorships placed after the year has begun will be charged a prorated amount by quarter of the year and according to the following schedule:

C.   Sponsorships will not be sold to firms engaged in marketing civil engineers (head hunters) or firms with the relevancy and appropriateness of such sponsorships each time a non-standard request is made.

D.   Subscribing Sponsors may place a paragraph size ad in the Newsletter announcing their openings for civil engineers twice in a 12-month period without additional charge.

E.   A single Sponsorship may be placed for promotion of a civil engineering related event, opening, seminar or service by a firm as qualified under Paragraph B and excluding firms outlined in Paragraph C. The Rate for a two Paragraph size Sponsorship, including one graphic, is $100 per issue. When such requests are made, usually to the Newsletter Editor, the Editor shall contact the President who will determine if the requested Sponsorship is relevant and if the Board needs to be informed. The Sponsorship will not be placed until the Editor or Treasurer receives a check from the Sponsor. The Sponsorship can also include a link to the company’s website or a file; this will need the approval of the Board of Directors.

F.   All articles/Sponsorships shall be sent to the Newsletter Editor before posting them to the website. The newsletter editor with the direction and guidance of the Board of Directors will be responsible to approve these articles/Sponsorships.

G.   All Members of the Branch including Board Members and Committee Chairs are encouraged to suggest their firms or organizations to sponsor one of the lunch meetings or to place a Sponsorship in the Newsletter / Website.

The Dallas Branch Sponsorship Policy Statement was re-evaluated and approved by the Branch Board at its meeting of October 4, 2010. The Policy will be in force until reviewed by the Board in the future.
