EWB-USA North Texas Professionals and Engineers In Actionare holding a joint fundraising banquet in conjunction with the North American tour of Bolivian folk music group Ayni.  The EWB-USA North Texas Chapter is raising funds for its projects in Central and South America while Engineers In Action is raising funds for their four EIA engineers in Bolivia who make from $450- $600 a month (one of whom is a UTA graduate and former EWB North Texas Chapter member).  

Join us for a night of soul stirring music, food, fellowship and learning about Engineers Without Borders and Engineers In Action.  Ayni, comprised of internationally recognized folk singer Juan Carlos Cordero  along with his wife Mirtha ,will perform to raise money for critical  EWB and EIA projects. Cordero, who lives in La Paz, Bolivia, has toured Europe and Japan.

The event will be held on Thursday, March 4th at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 5801 W.  Plano Parkway, Plano, TX.   A reception and silent auction will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Dinner and presentations start at 7:00 p.m. with the concert music beginning at 8:00 p.m.  The cost for the concert and  Andean style meal will be $50 per person.   To purchase tickets or to sponsor the event, please contact Matt Craig at 214-642-8319 or mcraig@halff.com.
