It’s all about community sustainability. If you plan cities for cars and traffic, you get cars and traffic. If you plan for people and places, you get people and places. Transit Oriented Development (TOD) is about the latter. TOD in Carrollton is not just about one piece of property at a station; it is about transforming entire districts of the City into new revitalized places. Mr. Braster will speak about Carrollton’s multi-pronged approach to ensure a successful redevelopment program that will take every advantage of development opportunities generated by DART’s new Green Line Light Rail Transit Project.
