It was just another Monday morning for Bill. He was up and out the door before 6:00. There was a set of plans he needed to have ready to turn in to the client by 5:00PM Wednesday, so he would be putting in a little over-time with his team to get that done. The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) has recently completed the largest constructed wetlands project in the United States on the East Fork of the Trinity River. Pumping stations and pipelines were also constructed at a cost of nearly $250 M to convey treated water taken from the East Fork and treated through the wetlands to Lake Lavon, the District’s main water supply.
