KRLD has a Christmas is for Caring program supporting the Denton State School (DSS). The DSS is a residential facility housing over 650 people, with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. The majority of the people who live at the DSS have severe and profound retardation, and over half the population require powerchairs or wheelchairs to get around the campus. The Buchanan Lecture
Professor Jose Roesset has been selected to give the 2009 Buchanan Lecture. His topic will be Applications of Soil Dynamics.
