Symposium to Focus on Conservation Development 

On May 10 in Lewisville, the Upper Trinity Conservation Trust and the University of North Texas are hosting the 2012 Conservation Development Symposium.  Themed “Protecting the Watershed - - Right Where We Live”, the Symposium will focus on conservation development design principles and planning techniques, discuss the economic benefits of preserving open space from a developer’s perspective, and highlight the importance of watershed protection and land conservation.  Along with many notable speakers, Mr. Randall Arendt will be the keynote speaker.  Mr. Arendt is a nationally known planner, author and advocate of “conservation planning” and has designed several developments within the North Texas region.  For more information about the 2012 Conservation Development Symposium and to register, please visit www.developmentsymposium.eventbrite.com.
